• transferring the result of research to provide innovation to the production sector;
• exploiting in the international scenario the work of Italian enterprises;
• transferring technologies to developing and emerging economies;
• offering new job opportunities to young agriculturalists and biotechnologists in emerging sectors;
• developing, through life-long learning, highly qualified expertise available to enterprises working in the field of new technologies for the agro-environmental and agro-food sectors;
• acquiring new, sophisticated equipment in order to increase the potential of carrying out research in support to technological innovation;
• contributing to local development.
